Oatmeal – Oats is a good source of fibre, and oat bran helps to lower cholesterol.

Quinoa – This nutrient dense powerhouse contains a range of minerals, is a significant source of vitamin E and has many anti-inflammatory phytonutrients, such as kaempferol (see leek) and quercetin (see onion).  It also has a small amount of the anti-inflammatory Omega 3 fatty acid, alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). Kamut – This is an ancient grain that is higher in protein than most grains and has a host of minerals.
